The next question asks you to designate your membership level. Please review each type below before making your selection.

An Associate Member does not require any commitment to participate directly in WAOE's activities or coordination. It does allow you to subscribe to WAOE-Views and the WAOE WebBoard, participate in WAOE special events, or join the WAOE Networking Site. Associate Members DO NOT exercise a formal or deliberative voice in WAOE's decision-making process. Associate members are not counted during elections or in meeting quorums.

A Voting Member may participate in all the activities described in the Associate Membership. Additionally, a Voting Member actively participates in WAOE by attending formal meetings (held online) of the association, making nominations and casting votes in general elections for WAOE. Voting members can run for the Board of Director positions or be appointed officers on the WAOE Coordinating Ring. Voting members participate in the ballots through which key decisions affecting WAOE are taken. Because decisions require a quorum of voters, it is important that voting members commit to exercising their voting privileges at the Annual Member's Online Meeting in early July. Voting members may organize working groups for specific projects, or join and participate in WAOE committees.

When you complete this form and activate your membership, you will be automatically subscribed to the WAOE Discussion Forums. The majority of general discussion takes place in the VIEWS forum. You enter the forum by using the same username and password you select and activate for your membership.
